Product Description

Bitter melon extract is a fruit extract of Momordica charantia L., a plant of the Cucurbitaceae family. It contains charantin (an equimolecular mixture of β-sitosterol-β-glucoside and 5,25-stigmasterol-3-glucoside), niacin, 5-hydroxytryptamine, multiple vitamins and multiple amino acids, and has pharmacological activities such as hypoglycemic, anti-cancer, antibacterial, antiviral, anti-fertility and immunity enhancement. The hypoglycemic effect of bitter melon extract has attracted much attention and has been deeply studied and widely used in Asian countries such as India, China and Japan. In medicine, bitter melon extract has begun to be used in the treatment of diabetes and AIDS.
