Welan Gum is a soluble extracellular polysaccharide produced by Alcaligenes sp through aerobic submerged fermentation. Because of its good thickening and anti segregation characteristics, it is used as a good stabilizer and thickener in the field of cement mortar, concrete and other building materials.

Welan Gum is a solid powder with good temperature resistance. Its aqueous solution has good viscosity and rheological properties and can withstand high concentration of calcium ions. It can be used in the chemical Book cement industry as a cement additive to increase the consistency and rheological properties of mineral sand, improve the stability of concrete self compaction and increase the compressive bleeding of slurry concrete. It can be used in petroleum drilling and production industry to provide thickening, suspension and rheological properties for petroleum mud. It can also be used in fine chemicals, daily chemicals and other industries.
Welan Gum is used for high molecular polymers, oilfield applications, casting coatings, pigment suspensions, cement or concrete thickeners, tire sealants and coating thickeners
