Etherified starch is a starch derivative in which the hydroxyl groups of the starch molecule and the hydroxyl groups of hydrocarbons are linked by oxygen atoms. The etherification modification of starch can improve the stability of viscosity, especially under high pH conditions, etherified starch is more stable than the above-mentioned oxidized starch and esterified starch, and is more widely used in the food industry (thickening). Cationic Starch-Paper sizing
The positive charge of cationic starch enables it to combine with negatively charged starch to adsorb and keep other negatively charged additives on the matrix. If positively charged cationic starch is used for sizing, it not only has good adhesion, but also has the effect of eliminating static electricity. Cationic starch has been widely used in warp yarn sizing abroad.
