Product Description

Pullulan is natural water-soluble polysaccharide, produced from sucrose by fermentation. It is a linear, neutral glucan consisting mainly of maltotriose units linked through α-1, 6 - glucosidic bonds. It can form excellent film that is heat sealable as a good oxygen barrier as well as a printable film. This can be used widely as a thickening or extending agent, adhesives agent or encapsulating agent in food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and industrial applications. It can also be used as the material of medicinal capsule shell,with no risk of cross-linking reaction,no interaction and very high stability.

 Pullulan is used as pharmaceutical coatings for tablets, pills, and granules and also used as capsule because of its high water solubility and low moisture resistance.

Food

Pullulan can be used as coating of food and packaging material and starch replacer in low-calorie food formulations in food ındustry. 
Pullulan can be used directly to foods as a protective glaze.

Cosmetic

  Pullulan is seen as an ingredient in cosmetics and beauty products, specifically anti-aging products, because of its ability to provide an instant skin-tightening effect as it adheres to the skin.
