Product Description

Ethyl Cellulose CAS 9004-57-3 Celluloseethyl Ethyl Cellulose N-200
Ethyl Cellulose(EC) is a kind of white grains or powder ,having no smell or taste. Its 5% soliquoid shows neutral to litmus test paper. Its specific density 1.07-1.18,heat distortion point:135~155 degree centigrade ,and fire point:330~360 degree centigrade Ethyl Cellulose has good stability against light ,heat, oxygen and wetness, and is stable to chemicals. It is resistant to alkali, dilute acid and salting liquid ,soluble in some organic solvents ,such as alcohol ,ether, ketone, ester, aromatic hydrocarbon and halohydrocarbon, etc ,and compatible with many celluloses, resin and nearly all plasticizers.Ethyl Cellulose has low combustibility, small hydroscopicity and good electric behavior. Its thin film and plastics have good mechanical strength and flexibility in a wide range of temperature.

Ethyl Cellulose CAS 9004-57-3 Celluloseethyl Ethyl Cellulose N-200
Ethyl cellulose is widely used in coatings. It can also be used as the basic material of solid lubricant for metal workpiece stamping. In microcircuit printing, ethyl cellulose is used as a color carrier. In the radio industry, it is used as an advanced insulating material and as a special film in protective coatings, such as the coating of rocket propellant. It can be used as hot melt adhesive and coating for cables, paper, textiles, etc., and can also be used as insulation for extrusion lines and toughness enhancer for plastics. It can also be used for pigment grinding base, for printing ink, for molding plastic powder, for explosive fuze, and for the formulation of vitamins. It can be used as a strippable protective layer to prevent corrosion and damage of metal parts before use, and can also be used as a strippable coating to protect fragile glassware. There are many uses in adhesives, textiles and fibers, medicine and food, and other industries. Industrial grade ethyl cellulose is used in coatings (gel type coatings, hot melt coatings), inks (screen printing ink, photogravure brush ink), adhesives, pigment pastes, etc. High-grade products are used in medicine, cosmetics and food, such as pharmaceutical tablet packaging materials, adhesives for long-acting preparations, etc.
